Bert Smits Honored with the "Top 100 Leaders in Education" Award at GFEL, Dubai 2019

DUBAI, UAE - Feb. 10, 2020 - PRLog -- Bert Smits was conferred with the "Top 100 Leaders in Education" award for her significant contributions towards the field of education at GFEL, held at Dubai on December 16-18, 2019.

Bert obtained his master's in Pedagogical Sciences with a specialization in Social Pedagogy at the KU Leuven and is passionate about learning- and change processes. He worked as a lector and teacher in Higher Education Institutes and is chairman of Mysterie of Education, a platform for innovation in education. He currently holds the position of CEO and director of Schoolmakers, cooperation supporting schools from nursery to adult education in learning and change management. Schoolmakers works closely with boards of directors, school management teams, teachers, students, parent committees, and pedagogical counselors. He is also chairman of the board of directors of 'De Kraal' a group of schools situated in Herent, nearby Leuven

While talking about his organization Mr.Smits, said, " We are from Schoolmakers, it helps schools and supports the school by changing their process in the classroom and also with localization, so we also work with teams in school. On asking about the reception of schools for their program, he replied, " Yes, very much, as you can see, we are accelerating the processes in school, we have already helped a lot of schools and building long-time relationships with them to make them effective. We have so many colleagues with different skill sets who help different schools in strengthening their program."
