Little Buggy Productions is releasing "Jay's First Day At A New School," by Candy Strother DeVore Mitchell.
By: Little Buggy Productions, DonnaInk Publications
An advocate for children and family rights, Candy is active in the pursuit of familial justice and has actively been involved in Congressional hearings, where she testified and has provided nationally aired and televised interviews regarding relevant topics surrounding child trafficking and children's safety.
Apart from this, Candy Strother DeVore Mitchell is also the niece of Ophelia DeVore Mitchell, a Civil Rights Advocate with worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King and was also a liaison to four (4) United States Presidents. These included, former President Ford, President Reagan, President Bush Senior and President Clinton. Through Candy's strong affiliation with her Auntie Ophelia, association with mainstream entertainers such as Guy Mitchell and others, and as a mother of six (6) children herself, Candy has a great understanding of the dynamics of childhood and coming-of-age amidst urban and inner city environments where life can become arduous.
Having experienced both sides of life, scoping from hard to prosperous times . . . Candy's stories feature an earnest chord of exchange for children who read her titles to draw from. With the "Faces of Rap Mothers" partaking in these children's editions - campaigns such as, "Stop Gang Violence," "Rap Mothers Save The Day," and "Healing Children through Better Choices" are three (3) campaigns the "Faces of Rap Mothers" support with a percentage of book proceeds being donated to a campaign of the Contributor's and Candy's collective choice as time progresses.
About the Author:
As an advocate, Candy testified on Capitol Hill while airing on news broadcasts in aid to the plights of others but her involvement in media and entertainment, as CEO of Black Cash Records, is where her two book series, Faces of Rap Mothers and Rap Mothers Save The Day originated.
