NEW BERN, N.C. - Feb. 3, 2020 - PRLog -- Joseph Goodrich is a pilot in the Marine Corps, a husband, a dad, and a children's author is running a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for his children's book Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons: Ellie's First Day of School - A children's book that presents delightful characters whose loving approach to emotional intelligence help kids understand emotions.

Joseph's first book Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons (ISBN: 9781732855304) was published in 2018 and has earned 25 national and international book awards! There are very few children's books that focus on emotional intelligence and mindfulness skills, and Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons series includes delightful characters whose loving approach to emotional intelligence teaches kids empathy, helps them understand their own emotions, and provides them with strategies to get through difficult moments.

"My project is unique in that my children's books help children deal with their emotions in difficult situations. This campaign also includes a stuffed animal to accompany the book so that children have a companion during difficult situations. My first book won many national and international book awards and I expect book II to do well." said Joseph. He then added, "I came up with the idea while completing my doctorate degree. I studied the role of emotional intelligence on individual performance and found a lot of information for adults but very little to help children.  My Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons series attempts to help children learn how to manage their emotions through difficult situations."

As with publishing any children's book, the costs associated with writing, developing, printing, marketing, and promoting a book can run upwards of $25-30K.  This is why he reached out to the Kickstarter community to see if he may earn your support to help publish book two of the Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons series.
