Uncle Win's Music Productions Releases "I Declare World Peace"

Snappy new composition and vocal performance by Win Thompkins. urges the public to "get all wars to cease".
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Feb. 1, 2020 - PRLog -- The global power-of-intention I Declare World Peace art project proudly announces its collaboration with recording artist and composer Win Thompkins and his publishing company, Uncle Win's Music Productions, Inc.  Together, they announce the release of "I Declare World Peace", a catchy rhythmic tune addressing matters of urgent international concern.

Nationally known recording artist, Win Thompkins, who is Uncle Win's creative genius,  has brought to vibrant life the compelling lyrics penned by Lawrence R. Gelber, a co-founder of the I Declare World Peace project.  Lamenting the devastating effects on humanity of the "claws of war", the song, through its clear imagery, celebrates the power of the individual to influence destiny.

Reached by telephone at his recording studio in Gibsonton, Florida, Mr. Thompkins said "we share the I Declare World Peace project's view that peace is up to the individual.  I was happy to set their lyrics to music and record this song because it affirms that peace is up to all of us."

The song, which jabs at the established order, uses punchy phrases reminiscent of Bob Dylan's "Masters of War", and scolds the "moguls of mayhem" who myopically see war as a personal profit center. The song reminds us that peace would in fact be "more profitable than war". Lyricist Gelber noted a 2012 report by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs that had there been complete peace in 2011, the global economy would have benefited by $9 trillion dollars.

Gelber, who serves as a spokesperson for the Brooklyn based I Declare World Peace project, told a reporter that "we were thrilled to connect with an artist of Win Thompkins' stature.  Not only is he helping to get our core message out to the public, but by his captivating beats he is enabling the public to dance to our message. Not since the 1960s has a song taken such a hard look and firm stance against the culture of war that plagues humanity."

Available on most streaming services such as Deezer and Spotify

A YouTube video is in the works and will be available by mid-February.
