Jim Robertson Joins Freedom Boat Club, Lake Norman & Lake Wylie as General Manager

In his new role, Captain Jim will be responsible for continuing the outstanding guest experience that Freedom is known for. He will oversee all hiring, training and safety. Jim will lead Freedom Boat Club Lake Norman, which comprises four locations, three on Lake Norman and one on Lake Wylie. He will work closely with the leadership team as it sets sail for location expansion.
"Jim brings us years of professional experience as a senior leader in the outdoor sports and hospitality industry. With his depth of knowledge, we look forward to implementing new operational guidelines and creating a solid, sales and marketing road map to lead us into this new decade," said Jeff Weir, owner of Freedom Boat Club.
Mr. Robertson has held senior roles at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont, The Essex Resort & Spa and Topnotch Resort and Spa as VP of Sales, where he led many departments including customer relations, group sales, retail, reservations and more. He previously was the General Manager for Wildlife Trading Company. Jim is also a Master Captain with the United States Coast Guard.
