SongDoor 2019 Winners Announced

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jan. 22, 2020 - PRLog -- The winners of the SongDoor 2019 Int'l. Songwriting Competition have been announced: the Grand Award has gone to Pamela Machala of Colorado for her song, "Bleeding Me Dry," which also won the Soft Rock category.

"Pamela's song was a runaway winner," says Tony Zotta, SongDoor president. "It's the largest margin for a winning song we've ever had, a real testament to the songwriting ability of Ms. Machala." Pamela was almost in a position to compete against herself in the final round, scoring a Special Recognition Honorable Mention for "To Open Yours." It was strongly considered as a finalist.

The Staff Favorite was for "Leopard Spots", by Andrea Corsaro of Massachusetts. Ms. Corsaro has entered many songs over the years which routinely garner very high marks. She has had several of her songs placed in TV shows and is a regular fixture on Internet radio.

The competition was generously sponsored by SongU.com, Broadjam, Colorado Sound, Steve Avedis, Robin Frederick and MasterWriter. Not just the winners won -- every songwriter who entered this year's competition receives a free 45-day all-access trial to SongU.com, a free Broadjam Film & TV membership as well as free song-editing software to help them improve their skills, a package worth $220 for all entrants.

As the winner of this year's Grand Award, Pamela wins a one-year Platinum membership to SongU.com, a full-band demo recorded and engineer by Emmy-winner Steve Avedis cut at the famous Colorado Sound studio in Denver, an acoustic demo of the song of her choice, $1,000 cash, Masterwriter software, a Broadjam Primo membership and a host of other prizes valued at more than $4,900.
