Step into Singapore with Fleewinter

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Jan. 22, 2020 - PRLog -- Fleewinter has added Singapore to its portfolio.  There are three dedicated itineraries; two combining it with Vietnam and Bali, plus a two-week honeymoon combining the republic with a romantic stay in the Philippines.

Singapore is known for its futuristic super-trees, a surfboard topped hotel with a stunning infinity pool, the historic Raffles Hotel and Michelin-quality street food dished up in hawker centres for only a couple of pounds. But there is so much more to the little red dot!

Modern Singapore was founded in 1819 by Sir Stamford Raffles as a trading post of the British East India Company. After the Company's collapse in 1858, the islands came under direct British control as a crown colony.  Following occupation by Japan during WW2, it was re-occupied by Britain.  It becae a fully sovereign state in 1965.

Whilst Singapore is a worthy destination in its own right, it is more usually visited as a stopover for onward journeys to other Asia destinations, plus Australia and New Zealand.

Here are some examples of the Fleewinter itineraries.

Singapore Stopover: Three days from £800

A driver will take you to your hotel from the airport to settle in, then perhaps wander around to discover the excellent fare on offer at the hawker stalls, before returning to the hotel for a sundowner at the rooftop bar.  On day two, the driver will tour around some of Singapore's most iconic sights including the colonial district, Chinatown, Merlion, and more.  Later in the day, enjoy a guided walk through Gardens by the Bay as dusk settles and the supertrees light up before taking a Bumboat ride along the river.  On day three, get off the beaten track and take a journey with your guide to discover the history of Singapore's Peranakan culture. The price includes two-nights' B&B, some activities as described in the itinerary and a driver/guide.

Singapore Uncovered: Six days from £1500

Get under the skin of the city in a Garden with a full six days in Singapore. Highlights will include taking a Bumboat ride through the supertrees and cloud forest of Gardens by the Bay, a city tour, the historic Singapore Botanic Gardens, a visit to MacRitchie Reservoir – with its canopy walkway and lookout tower – and a guided 'food tour' to discover the many different flavours of the city. The final day is at leisure, before taking a sunset sail aboard a 40ft catamaran, through the southern islands.  The price includes five-nights' B&B, certain activities as described in the itinerary and a driver/guide for some aspects of the trip.
