London web design agency Internet Dreams revamps their existing website for 2020

We have been busy since our last major update a year ago, that we have not had the opportunity to look at our own website and make much-needed updates to our showcase highlighting new work and design flair.

Showcase

The new website needed to showcase the fantastic work we produce, allowing perspective clients to immediately gauge the high quality and unique designs that we produce. Google Analytics demonstrated that a high percentage of our visitors wanted to view the showcase area, which makes sense being a web design agency. We created a new user experience that allowed site visitors to view recent projects on the home page with intuitive navigation to the full design showcase section. Once on an actual showcase, we have provided high-quality screenshots highlighting all important sections of the website as well as describing why we chose that design direction. We also like to add client testimonials next to our showcases.

Skillset

Even though our existing website provided information on all the services we offered, we felt the new website needed to further emphasise that we do not just design websites. We wanted site visitors to know that we offer ecommerce, app development, logo and branding development, content management solutions etc. The new design needed to emphasise our diverse range of services, this was achieved through a rigorous wireframing process, a-b testing, reviewing Google Analytics and client feedback. We believe the UX and UI allow for the easy retrieval of relevant information with minimum effort.

Website build

The new website is powered using the opensource PHP framework ProcessWire (https://www.netdreams.co.uk/blog/processwire-website-deve...). We have been using ProcessWire for many years now and have found it to be highly adaptable and user-friendly, it can cope with virtually any sized framework and is very secure. It also has a powerful yet user-friendly CMS that allows for quick and simple updates. The new design has also been built to further enforce our excellent search engine optimisation, targeting core key words.
