"Deep within my soul, I have always been a writer. Even when I was a child in elementary school, I wrote many poems and I loved writing essay assignments as I grew older in high school and college. I likely inherited this love of writing from my mother, who was a published poet and songwriter. Little did I know in those early school writings, that I would, as an adult, become a Nashville songwriter with charted original hit songs. For me, writing is a connection that I can make with people and is many times an expression of love. I enjoy telling stories, particularly stories that have been a part of my life and experiences. And so, in 2017, I wrote my first inspirational children's book, titled "Counterfeit Country Queen Dreams," based on the story about the pursuit of my dream of becoming a recording artist. Right after that in 2018, I wrote my second installment of what will be my "Counterfeit Country Queen Series of Books," with another inspirational children's book titled "Counterfeit Country Queen Jesus & Nashville Calling." I'm excited to continue writing additional books for the series, all the while continuing to schedule time for my songwriting and work in the studio as a recording artist.
