imua 90th This year's annual meeting theme, On the Move, reflects the association's continuing effort to ensure the professional development of its membership. The meeting will feature a diverse educational agenda beginning with Dan North, Chief Economist Euler Hermes, as this year's keynote speaker. Mr. North's address will touch the outlook for the property and casualty insurance industry from an inland marine perspective. In announcing its Annual Meeting, IMUA President and CEO, Kevin O'Brien, said, "As we embark on a new decade in IMUA's history, we are once again extremely pleased to offer a diverse array of topics that are extremely relevant to today's inland marine environment. Our Education Committee has done an outstanding job not only in selecting an agenda that focuses on today's most pressing issues and securing knowledgeable professionals to address each." The topics for the IMUA 90th Annual Meeting include: · Builders Risk: Delay Claims · Renewable Energy · Commercial Flood · Motor Truck Cargo & Warehouse Legal Liability · Emerging Trends – Cyber, Wildfire, Modular Construction Mr. O'Brien also noted that IMUA is also offering its "Parallel Track" programming geared toward newer, less experienced inland marine underwriting and claims personnel. IMUA's "Parallel Track" is a series of seminars and workshops patterned after the association's Introduction to Inland Marine Course. They run parallel to the more in-depth educational sessions offered during the Annual Meeting. All those attending the 'Parallel Track' sessions will also have access to our general sessions, as well as the keynote address. The Parallel Track subjects to be covered are: · Introduction to Inland Marine · The Basics of Builders Risk · Understanding Contractors Equipment · Transportation Insurance IMUA Chairperson, Bruce Jervis, commenting on this year's Annual Meeting agenda noted, "I am extremely proud to serve as IMUA's Chairperson.
