Soham Mohanty ranks first in the Lexus Design Awards India 2020

UJJAIN, India - Jan. 17, 2020 - PRLog -- Taking his brilliant idea forward, Soham Mohanty from 3^rd year B.Des Industrial Design of Avantika University, bagged the first place in the 'Conceptual Category – Student' at the Lexus Design Awards India 2020 in Pune.

The winners in the 10 categories were the few among the 885 high quality entries from all over India that won the prestigious award and got shortlisted for the Global Lexus Design Award 2020. The international design competition will be taking place at the Lexus Design Event at Milan Design Week this year.

Soham designed a product by the name of Accufill; a device that can measure and track the actual amount of fuel entering the petrol tank in automobiles. The idea got highly appreciated by the Jury panel and earned Soham the opportunity to not only represent India in the concerned category but also get mentored by industry stalwarts to refine his project for the final round.


Project Title: Accufill

Accufill helps to bring transparency between the user and the people of petrol stations while refuelling their vehicles and hence enhancing the entire experience of refuelling and making process interactive. This also helps to combat the fuel theft/fuel mafia bringing a transformation in the society and create awareness among the consumers about their rights. And results in a social transformation.
