FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Jan. 16, 2020 - PRLog -- To continue support of employee education and training in the work truck industry, NTEA developed a new Truck Equipment 201 module covering powertrain systems. TE201 is a series of online courses, designed for those with technical knowledge seeking deeper understanding of specific topics outlined in the introductory TE101. Powertrain systems — the fourth TE201 course and final of the powertrain module series — reviews vehicle systems that support powertrain function and enable proper engine and emissions compliance.

"A valuable resource for the commercial vehicle industry, this course explains important elements of vehicle systems in a straightforward manner," said Susan Dehne, NTEA senior director of technical services.

Topics include

• Fuel
• Air induction
• Cooling
• Front end accessory drive
• Exhaust

The fourth TE201 module builds on powertrain and certification courses launched in

2019. While there are no course prerequisites, users are encouraged to complete TE201 Powertrain before taking this module. To receive a certificate of completion, the learner is required to complete a brief quiz following each of the four sections.
