SAN ANTONIO - Jan. 13, 2020 - PRLog -- Able City, a planning, architecture, and urban design company, for 10 years has provided Economic Development Consulting to small and large private developers, local governments and special districts, citizen advocates, and nonprofits. Viviana L. Frank-Franco, founding principal of Able City, embarked on enhancing the services after her graduation from University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute (OU EDI) in October 2019.

With Viviana's guidance, Able City will empower citizen advocates to address societal challenges affecting citywide quality of place and life.  Strategically, these services and products will make infill development a viable option for local urban landowners and provide a holistic implementation plan for new development while addressing needs and challenges that affect the community well-being.

The services are slated to influence participation in development conversations at the grass-root level.

"We have been helping communities build quality of life equity in communities by helping advocates achieve what they seek for many years. Now we will help small businesses increase the growth of their businesses and private citizens improve their quality of life by involving themselves in the planning and implementation of that which they seek for a healthy and lively community," says Viviana Frank-Franco, Founding Principal Able City.

These products are the foundation of the development of the city from architectural and planning point of view.

Able City's new economic development tools will include pre-qualifications and analysis for land-use, zoning, utilities, policy alignments with best practices, and building incentives.  Adapting these core tools shifts the restructuring of communities, creating shared value.

Able City has been an active member of San Antonio development ecosystem since launching its office in Downtown San Antonio. The firm has worked alongside the City of San Antonio, public, private, academic and philanthropic organization to encourage conversations around urbanism and transportation.

OU EDI, from its inception in 1962, is a fully accredited International Economic Development Council (IEDC) intensive program which provides a broad spectrum of advanced education for economic development professionals. The program focuses on Business Retention, Expansion and Attraction, Real Estate, and Credit Analysis, as well as areas of concentration in Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Entrepreneurship.
