PRLog -- WildBlue is extremely honored to sponsor a classroom-based private-pilot ground school at Kansas City's Wheeler Downtown Airport. The Saturday morning classes are from 8 am to 12 noon and begin February 8, 2020. Atlantic Aviation at is graciously donating the space. Graduates will be prepared to take the FAA Private Pilot knowledge exam -- a prerequisite for earning a private pilot's license.
Tuition for high-school and college students is just $199 plus materials, which average approximately $90. For all others, the cost is just $299 plus materials. These prices are anywhere from 40% to 70% cheaper than offered by many local community colleges and flight schools. WildBlue will not earn any profit from this sponsorship and excess funds, if any, will be donated directly to Angel Flight Central.
"We're doing this for two reasons," said Chris Kirk, owner of WildBlue. "First, we love to share the wonder of general aviation and believe in giving back to the local general aviation population. Second, there is an acute pilot shortage in the United States and we want to help develop the next generation of pilots. We're excited to bring this dynamic class to Kansas City's premier general aviation airport."
