Guinco Service Adopts African Penguin

FORT WORTH, Texas - Jan. 20, 2020 - PRLog -- Guinco Service, a home appliance repair company, adopts an African Penguin at the Fort Worth Zoo just in time for Penguin Awareness Day, Jan. 20.

Every year, Guinco Service is proud to participate in local non-profit charity events. This year, they took to Penguin Awareness Day by adopting an African Penguin from the Fort Worth Zoo.

To understand the significance of adopting a penguin, one would have to know that the original line of business, beginning in 1997, for Guinco Service was appliance repair, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). The penguin utilized in Guinco Service's logo is an Emperor Penguin representative of cooler weather, which spoke to the air conditioning aspect of the business. In 2012, Guinco Service decided to specialize in appliance repair only, after relationships with Whirlpool formed, never dropping the staple logo that is often seen driving around on their truck wraps. Coincidently, the 'guin' in penguin just so happened to rhyme with the President and CEO's last name, Guinn.

Jeff Guinn stated, "We've always represented penguins with our logo, now we have a chance to actually help. We are honored to be a part of this program that helps these amazing animals thrive."

The company plans to hold a naming contest for the employees, eventually opening votes to the public for the adopted penguin on their company Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/guincoservice).

Guinco Service is a home appliance repair company that services Whirlpool brands in North Texas inclusive of Dallas, Fort Worth, Tyler, Wichita Falls, and surrounding areas.
