Uttarakhand Food Festival 2019

DEHRADUN, India - Dec. 31, 2019 - PRLog -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat appreciated and presented the first position prize to the students of Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions. Eight students of the Hotel Management Department participated in the Uttarakhand Food Festival 2019 at the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival organized by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department. The students were highly appreciated for their efforts to present the indigenous flavors of Garhwal in a thali named 'Nanda ki Thali'.

Master Chef India season I fame, Chef Pankaj Bhadouria who was judging the event also appreciated the food made by the students.  22 teams participated in the much-awaited event which was equally enjoyed by the local visitors. Deepa Chawla, Head of the HM Dev Bhoomi College said, "We participated in the sixth edition of the event, our stall food was appreciated by the local people as we presented Koda biscuits, Mandva Momo's, Jhangora Kheer and other delicious Garhwali cuisines. The competition was tough however our students did their best and bagged the first position.

Students of the HM department from DBGI namely Nikesh, Shashank, Shekhar, Satyam, Sainika, Kapil, Salib, Nadim participated in the event. Among faculties, Gopal Singh Negi, Yogesh Semwal, Lalit Mohan Verma, Shubham Mehra were present to guide and supervise students.
