American Book Fest has announced the winners and finalists of The 2019 Best Book Awards on November 13, 2019. Over 400 winners and finalists were announced in over 90 categories. Awards were presented for titles published in 2017-2019.

C.M. Harris is a new author writing children's picture books that motivate and inspire every child focusing on diversity and inclusion.

She wrote What If We Were All the Same! as a love letter to the child, she was– one who thought her differences made her unable and unimportant enough to chase her dreams.
Diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease at the age of seven and the "Suicide Disease" Trigeminal Neuralgia at the age of twenty-two, Charity has defied the odds.

The intention is to share the book with elementary school students with the goal of preventing bullying and teaching acceptance and inclusivity.

Jeffrey Keen, President, and CEO of American Book Fest said this year's contest yielded over 2,000 entries from mainstream and independent publishers, which were then narrowed down to over 400 winners and finalists.

Keen says of the awards, now in their seventeenth year, "The 2019 results represent a phenomenal mix of books from a wide array of publishers throughout the United States.
