ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 7, 2020 - PRLog -- The Historic New Bethel A.M.E. Church is pleased to announce they will host Grammy award-winning artist and preacher Brent Jones on Saturday February 1, 2020 for a Gospel Music Workshop. The two-day workshop will be held on Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31 at the church located at 115 S. Young Street, Ormond Beach.

Jones is renowned for his mega hits "Open Your Mouth and Say Something", "He Rose", "Don't Wait Till Midnight" (featuring Coko from SWV), "Cry Holy" and the urban AC smash "Goodtime", which topped Billboard for over 47 weeks. JDI Records artist Brent Jones is planning a 1st Quarter 2020 release. Jones is a singer/songwriter extraordinaire who's groundbreaking work with his urban group TP Mobb set the stage for Kirk Franklin and urban contemporary gospel.

Seating is limited for the concert. Tickets for the two-day workshop are $10 and can be purchased by calling the church at 386-677-8225.

Following the workshop on February 1st, there will be a performance sponsored by Historic New Bethel A.M.E. Church in a 100 voice mega mass choir with Brent Jones showcasing the workshop graduates at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, located at 399 US 1 in Ormond Beach. Historic New Bethel AME Church offers Worship Services on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., Bible Discovery on Sunday at 9:30 a.m., and a Wednesday noon Bible Study. The New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church was organized 1885 by a small group of devout, conscientious Christians who decided among themselves to pool their pennies, nickels, and dimes, trust God, and purchase a small lot on which they built for the first AME church in Ormond Beach, Fla.
