Tickets are now available online at thebrcollective.org.
"We are extremely excited! This fundraiser will make it possible for the BRC to fulfill its 2020-2021 mission which is to connect, nurture and support actors as they enter the creative process through training, readings, and productions,"
"We value the amazing support from the Los Angeles community and theatrical community as we spread our wings and BRC takes flight."
"Hébert and I have had numerous conversations around the need for more agency of the Black voice in our narratives. I am so proud to support her and the BRC as they break new ground on the L.A. theatre scene," says Sterling K. Brown, 2017 Emmy winner, Lead Actor in a Drama Series, "This Is Us," and BRC advisory board member.
The evening's main feature, "The Eve of Jackie," brings tribute to the legendary performer known as "Mr. Excitement,"
"The Eve of Jackie" transports the audience back into the groove of the '60s and examines Wilson's life and passion for music, as well as the possible exploitation of his music. The production is set during Wilson's final complete performance on September 28, 1975, the day before he collapsed live on stage. A post-show mixer will follow.
