Shri Pralhad P Chhabria Award 2020

PUNE, India - Dec. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- The Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria Awards is instituted to honour academic and professional achievements of young women engineers. The award is intended to encourage, support and help the 'women-in-engineering community' to grow and achieve success.

It has been Late Shri Pralhad P Chhabria's dream to empower women. He believed that women have the ability to take what they have and bring about a change in their families, their work place and their society. He always encouraged female students to be courageous to pursue their professional and personal aspirations.

1. THE AWARD
a. Award I - Best Outgoing Female Student (from faculty of Science/Engineering/Technology)
b. Award II - Best Woman Professional/Scientist/Technocrat (working professional -Early Career Stage)

ELIGIBILITY
A. Award Nominee must be an
a. IEEE Student Member for Award I and IEEE Member for Award II
b. For both Awards, the applicant must have a valid membership for at least 2 years prior to the date that the Application Opens
c. An IEEE woman in engineering membership is desirable though not necessary.
d. Indian National
B. Award I
The award is open to Female Students pursuing Science, Engineering or Technology education in India, who is in the final year of her studies and has been an outstanding achiever throughout her education. Demonstration of originality and innovation in the respective field/s of work is mandatory.*
C. Award II
The award is open to Women in Science,Technology or Engineering actively working for 3-7 years in India in the field of her related knowledge and skills for economic development of the community and /or country. Demonstration of originality and innovation in the respective field/s of work is mandatory.*

*Jury may change and elevate the eligible criterion depending on the number of applications received. Jury's decision shall remain final.

PRIZE
1.  Award I
· Prize of Rs.1,25,000/-(Rupees One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand only). Taxes as applicable shall be deducted from this prize money.
· A medal
· A citation

2. Award II
· Prize of Rs.1,25,000/-(Rupees One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand only). Taxes as applicable shall be deducted from this prize money.
