***The Gift of His Presence***
By: Stewart Perrilliat
"We are raising money to complete our final version for our fatherhood documentary called, "The Gift Of His Presence." This is a 60-minute documentary film that seeks to shift the narrative about absent fathers in Urban communities by exploring how fathers of color are taking active roles in the lives of their children. The film visits a broad cross-section of men ranging from professional athletes like Gary Payton and social activists like Tracy Martin to inmates at San Quentin prison and Grammy Award Winner producer Narada Michael Walden. The common theme is that by being consistent with a positive presence, fathers can alter the trajectory of the lives of their children." says Stewart Perrilliat, Founder and Executive Director of Man 2 Man Urban Youth Advocate, Inc.
He added that, "This donation can be used as a charitable contribution toward our 501(c)(3) nonprofit and whoever gives will receive a letter with our Tax ID number so that they can file it on their next tax return." Man2Man-Urban Youth Advocate was created in response to the complex and unique needs of young men of color between the ages of 10 and 24 by developing programs to help strengthen their role as leaders in their communities and provide them with pathways to success. We see men of color as powerful, positive, and protective co-parents and aim to provide practical principles and resources to produce men who care and support themselves, their families, and communities.
