Lee Canyon Ski Area Announces Date For Official Hillside Lodge Grand Opening Celebration

LAS VEGAS - Dec. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- On the heels of a spectacular season opener weekend Dec. 14-15, Lee Canyon, Las Vegas' year-round backyard escape and a part of the POWDR adventure lifestyle portfolio, announces it will host a weekend-long, open-to-the-public Grand Opening celebration from Jan. 10 – 12 to mark the most significant transformation of Lee Canyon in the resort's history. The new, 10,000-square-foot Hillside Lodge is a two-story building with a modern feel that elevates the guest experience with its indoor and outdoor spaces and sweeping views of Lee Canyon.

The January 2020 weekend-long Grand Opening celebration kicks off with the Hillside Lodge Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at 10 a.m. Clark County Commissioner Larry Brown and Get Outdoors Nevada Executive Director Mauricia Baca, who also leads the Nevada Outdoor Business Coalition, will be among the morning's speakers. Commissioner Brown will designate Jan. 10 as Hillside Lodge Day. Other political dignitaries and community leaders will be in attendance. Following the ceremony, light refreshments showcasing Hillside Lodge's food and beverage options will be served inside Hillside Lodge and music on the deck.

Hillside Lodge boasts outdoor heated terrace and patio dining experiences, a ski-in, ski-out bar for Vegas' best après, a bistro with reimagined food and beverage options, and expanded restroom facilities. Expanding Lee Canyon's offerings, Hillside Lodge includes event space for meetings, special events, and weddings. Its design allows guests to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Spring Mountains, a perfect backdrop for any occasion.

On Saturday, grand opening festivities featuring live music and the fifth annual Chris Ruby Cup, Saturday, Jan. 11. The fun, all-ages race is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is a benefit for Nevada Donor Network. Registration is $20; all proceeds go to Nevada Donor Network.
