New speculative fiction novel by author R. Frederick Riddle now available

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Dec. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Vice President of T&R Independent Books R. Frederick Riddle has announced the publication of his latest novel Battle at Proxima Centauri. This Speculative Fiction novel is the sixth and final book of the Christland series.

The novel continues the story of a Christian nation founded on the planet Ross 128 b (renamed Pauline). They have endured persecution, war, an insane criminal bent on their destruction, and now the threat of I.C.E.S., an interplanetary criminal organization determined to rule space like the Mafia rules Earth.

During these trying years the United Christian States was established on the super-continent Christland on Pauline. It has grown, especially since opening its borders to people wishing to immigrate from Earth. But the immigration has created its own problems as being a Christian is not necessary, thereby allowing people who were of different religions or no religion to enter. The latter group often coming in the form of criminals pretending to be true immigrants!

Meanwhile on Earth the worldwide government collapsed as did the persecution. Christians were once again popular and a new Christian, who'd once led a task force of spaceships against Pauline, now stood on the brink of becoming the new President of the United States of America which had regained its strength, influence, and historical standing among nations.

Admiral Andrea Riddle survived the battle with the Paulines, received Christ as her Savior prior to the battle, became the leading candidate for the presidency, survived an assassination attempt, and now is on the brink of being elected President of the United States. With the opposition of the press, liberal politicians, and still existing anti-Christian forces, she faces severe odds.

On Pauline itself I.C.E.S. has planted an organization to create a criminal empire that would eventually overpower the fledgling government. Stopping them becomes the mission of a young, black woman who'd only recently joined the police.
