Three Charlotte area senior community locations include; Cadence Moorseville at 198 E. Waterlynn Road, Cadence Huntersville at 250 Commerce Center Dr, and Cadence Senior Living at Mint Hill at 5601 Margaret Wallace Rd. Additional properties include Cadence at Wake Forest, Cadence North Raleigh, and Cadence Garner in the Raleigh area, and Cadence at Clemmons in the Winston-Salem area. The seven communities are comprised of 402 total units.
"Cadence will maintain the unique southern charm of each community, while delivering upon our promise of providing seniors with the opportunity to live their best life by incorporating our culture of health, wellness and fun to elevate the standards of care for residents with our North Carolina team," said Eric Gruber, principal at Cadence Living.
Overseeing the transition and implementation of new management and operations is Cadence vice president of operations for North Carolina Heather Thomas, a professional senior living administrator with nearly twenty years of experience in senior housing and assisted living. A resident of Charlotte, Ms. Thomas' experience in the field began as a caregiver and has evolved over two decades to involve management and leadership roles in senior living, including serving as an active member of the National Continuing Education Review Service for the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards.
"Throughout my career, I've wanted to provide seniors with the best care available and ensure that their later years are as rewarding and fulfilling as possible," said Ms. Thomas. "I look forward to bringing the Cadence culture to these North Carolina communities and implementing higher standards of care through our policies and our investment in our residents and our staff."
The seven communities provide assisted living and memory care. Cadence, which currently operates 10 senior living communities in the southeast, will introduce its enhanced memory care program Revere Memory Care to each of the new communities and expanding social, wellness and engagement-oriented programming for residents.
"We are excited about our new partnership Griffin-American Healthcare REIT III and the opportunity to expand our presence in the southeast," said Rob Leinbach, principal at Cadence Living. "Our shared values for standards of excellence will allow for a smooth transition to an enhanced residence experience at these communities."
