Russian Railways report increase of number of e-tickets

The share of online ticket sales for 11 months of the current year grew to 57% of the total number of tickets sold as a whole through the railway network.
Stable growth in electronic sales is because of the active development of online services for passengers. Today, passengers have the opportunity to issue travel documents for wheelchair users, electronic receipts for the transportation of additional hand luggage, luggage and pets, as well as an additional meal service on the Russian Railways website.
Users of smartphones based on the Android or iOS operating system can use the official Russian Railways Passenger mobile application. With it, you can purchase long-distance and commuter train tickets without a fee, arrange baggage and pets transportation, check information on previously purchased tickets, find out train schedules, log in to the loyalty program. To issue tickets in the application, you can use bonus points. You can also track your bonus account, buy and apply transport cards. Other useful options include prices for upcoming dates, navigation at train stations, and frequently asked questions.
