Depending on locations of the customer and the restaurant, the UberEats app will determine whether to dispatch a car or a bike to make the delivery. For example, if the route is under three miles, runs through a congested part of the city, and can be complete on bike-friendly streets, then bike couriers will be prioritized to make the delivery.
The MiniTad is a crossover personal electric vehicle (PEV) that is capable of a top speed of 18 mph and a range of 15 miles on a single charge. The vehicle weighs about 17 pounds making it an ideal solution for last-mile delivery.
