Advocacy 31nine was started in 2018 by two passionate, social justice-seeking parents of children with mental and behavioral health needs. Advocacy 31nine's mission is to advocate for the educational success of all children impacted by foster care in Arizona and to reduce the school to prison pipeline.
Advocacy 31nine believes that ALL children can find success in school if their mental health and educational needs are being met by a team of professionals that are trauma-informed. We also believe that all children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) will be impacted by this trauma and that it will affect how they learn. Since 2018, Advocacy 31nine has been able to unlock more than $2,000,000 in supports and services for children in foster care.
"We could not be more excited to partner with the Arizona Coyotes Foundation to support the children in our communities that have been impacted by foster care and adoption. We love seeing organizations like the Arizona Coyotes Foundation set up to really make an impact in the lives of children across Arizona," said Jenny Mullins, Executive Director of Advocacy 31nine.
