CHENNAI, India - Nov. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Sarangi, the Chennai (Alwarpet) based store presents Weaves of Rehwa, an exhibition of exquisite Maheshwari sarees, dupattas and unstitched kurtas. These handloom sarees feature rectilinear forms in pastel colours as well in bold and bright colour combinations. The fabric is airy and lightweight, and thus, are generally suited for Indian weather.

Prabodh Jain, founder and CEO of Sarangi says, "There's been consistent demand from customers for sarees which are more suited for day wear. These sarees and stoles are great for just that. The design themes are lines and stripes with excellent play of colours. Overall, these help complement a smart and non-fussy attitude."

Customers have found that Maheshwaris are great for seminars, conferences and corporate work wear. They are also loved for dinner outings with a group of friends or work colleagues.

About Maheshwari Sarees

These silk-cotton, handloom sarees are woven in and around Maheshwar in central India. Therefore, they are known as Maheshwaris. The famous "Thana-Bana" sarees of Maheshwar are known for their grandeur not only in their appearance but feel as well. These sarees come with a hint of zari in the borders and pallus, which make them ideal for all seasons and occasions. Known for their vibrant colours in the body and pallus, these lightweight sarees are also popular for their reversible borders and indigenous motifs (buttis) such as chameli ka phool, eent (ant), diamond, ambi, chattai, etc. all over the saree.
