**SAMURAI The Damascus Watch**

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- SAMURAI was born in Seki city of Japan, known as the home of Japanese sword.  Seki is one of the "World's 3S" for cutlery, along with Solingenin Germany and Sheffield in England. Seki's history of cutlery goes back to more than 700 years ago.  The area meets three critical conditions for sword manufacturing – good soil, pine charcoal, and clean water. There were over 300 sword craftsmen during the 14th~16thcentury, and the swords from Seki were very popular among leading Samurai generals and warriors as they were sharp, they don't break and they don't bend.

This extraordinary sword manufacturing technique has been passed down throughout generations even today – primary lines of product now include kitchen knives, scissors and industrial cutlery. SAMURAI carries this 700+ years of history and inherits the sword manufacturing tradition. "While there are so many luxury watches using the Damascus steel, SAMURAI is very unique applying the 700-year-old Japanese sword manufacturing techniques, realizing exceptional design elegance with one-and-only face for every single watch.  The project should serve a great cause helping the craftsmanship in Seki, Japan sustain and grow as world-class heritage." Says Gene Onozuka.

SAMURAI's face design features Damascus steel, which precious details show off excellence of cutlery manufacturing. While Damascus steel is used for several selected premium watches, it has seldom used for the face of the watch due to technical challenges during manufacturing process. The SAMURAI design engineers and craftsmen took quite a long time to achieve the acceptable level of thinness for the face.  The team also overcame another design challenge where there is a Tomoe-mon (triple-comma crest)-shaped hole in the center of the face where you see automatic movements inside. Gene said that he congratulates those backers for not enjoying the SAMURAI watch but being part of this great cause of preserving and evolving the Japanese cutlery tradition and samurai spirit!

With just 14 days left in this campaign, Gene needs your support in bringing the One-and-only watch handcrafted with Damascus steel in Seki, home of Japanese sword to reality.
