Reports on Russian trade in goods with African countries in Q3 2019

The share of African countries in Russia's total exports has declined significantly in Q3 2019 compared to Q3 2018.
 
MOSCOW, Russian Federation - Nov. 27, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Africa in the third quarter of 2019.

A brief review of Russia's trade with African countries in the 3rd quarter of 2019

The share of African countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) declined from 2.68% in the 3rd quarter of 2018 to 2.08% in the 3rd quarter of 2019.

The share of African countries in Russia's total exports declined from 3.57% in the 3rd quarter of 2018 to 2.74% in the 3rd quarter of 2019.

The share of African countries in Russia's total imports rose from 1.01% in the 3rd quarter of 2018 to 0.99% in the 3rd quarter of 2019.

The major trading partners of Russia in Africa in the 3rd quarter of 2019:
- The top five Russia's trade partners in Africa in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were Egypt (0.6823% of Russia's total foreign trade), South Africa (0.2191%), Morocco (0.1746%), Algeria (0.1741%), and Nigeria (0.0961%);
- The top five Russia's export markets in Africa in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were Egypt (1.0358% of Russia's total exports), Algeria (0.2780%), Morocco (0.2158%), Nigeria (0.1393%), and South Africa (0.1276%);
- The top five Russia's import suppliers from Africa in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were South Africa (0.3703% of Russia's total imports), Morocco (0.1066%), Egypt (0.0982%), Cote d'Ivoire (0.0728%), and Tunisia (0.0621%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Africa in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018:
- The share of Algeria in Russia's total exports declined 3.4-fold from 0.9407% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018 to 0.2780% in the 3rd quarter of the 2019;
- The share of Djibouti in Russia's total exports rose 181.0-fold from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0181% in the 3rd quarter of the 2019;
- The share of Angola in Russia's total imports rose 406.0-fold from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0406% in the 3rd quarter of the 2019.
