Follow on Google News | Shangri-La Springs' organic farm-to-table restaurant Harvest & Wisdom hosts nostalgic dinner New YeaBy: Shangri-La Springs The five-course menu — inspired by a menu created for Calvin Coolidge for New Year's Eve in 1924 — includes a choice of entrée and complimentary glass of Champagne. In addition to the full wine list, Harvest & Wisdom's sommelier has selected wines from the restaurant's cellar to pair perfectly with the 1920s era menu. Cost is $125 per person plus gratuity, tax is included. Michelin-starred Executive Chef Allen Fisher, a competitor on Food Network's Chopped, brings more than 18 years of professional cooking and kitchen management experience including with famed chef Daniel Boulud in New York, and an extensive background of developing new concepts using local and organic products. Chef de Cuisine David Robbins has more than 15 years of experience including at acclaimed farm-to-table concept Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York. The New Year's Eve menu will start with a glass of Champagne and caviar, followed by consommé Olga and then a Waldorf salad. Guests can have their choice of main entrée, choosing among filet with foie gras and truffle with potato Anna, roast squab served with cress, lamb and sauce chasseur, aiguillette of bass with asparagus gratin, or courgette marrow farci. A selection of petit fours for the table will conclude the exquisite dining experience.
