Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance owner Eric Edelman travels to Ethiopia as part of JVMI Outreach Program
NORWELL, SCITUATE, HANOVER, QUINCY, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 25, 2019…Eric Edelman, PT, owner of Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide comprehensive treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, recently returned from a trip to Ethiopia as a member of the Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI) Medical Outreach Team.
Edelman was among a group of medical professionals to travel to Inchini, Ethiopia for ten days where he worked as a physical therapist. This was the first time a physical therapist served on the JVMI medical team. As a result of the medical clinic program, this mission served over 15,000 patients.
"This was a life-changing experience, working with a population that has little to no access to healthcare of any variety, or other resources that we take for granted," said Edelman. "It was an honor and a blessing to be a part of the JVMI medical team and I strongly encourage others interested in mission work to follow their hearts. I look forward to returning to Ethiopia and helping to build a more robust physical therapy department to better serve many needs."
