WAYNE, Pa. - Nov. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Former Philadelphia Phillies Pitcher Curt Schilling once said, "The bigger the game the better…I feed off big crowds," and thanks to Brett Furman Group of RE/MAX Classic, five lucky winners of its recent promotion scored a home run with two game day tickets increasing the turnout.

Brett Furman, owner of RE/MAX Classic and Brett Furman Group, explained that his company recently had a baseball promotion called "Let's Play Ball" where five lucky winners scored two game day tickets, a parking pass, free food and beverages along with Brett Furman Group in the Hall of Fame Club Deck at Citizens Bank Park while watching a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game.

Furman, an award-winning Real Estate Broker, who is known as one of Pennsylvania's top agents since 1986, explained that Brett Furman Group is proud to sponsor numerous baseball events throughout the year including a team from Great Valley Little League and Devon-Strafford Little Leagues annual fund-raiser at Devon Lanes that helped raise over $6,000 over the past three years. The sport is especially near and dear to Bretts heart since he played as a youth.

What makes his real estate team so special is that 2 agents from Brett Furman Group, Doug Scullin and Dave Rantanen, are involved in their sons' respective little leagues and both have a son that play together on the same travel baseball team – Valley Forge Rangers.

"I first got involved with coaching Brody's teams when he started playing tee ball at Great Valley Little League seven years ago," Scullin said, before adding, "I was asked to be an assistant coach that first season and then I've served as his team's manager ever since. I've been the manager of his regular spring season teams, fall ball, travel teams and Little League all-star teams. The International all-star teams that I had managed got to the Little League District 27 championship game in 2017 and 2018 but we came up short. We finally got over the hump winning the D27 championship and even making it to the Sectional championship in his last season of Little League play this past summer of 2019. While winning is obviously a ton of fun, I coach only to make sure my son and his friends have the best experience playing the sport they love, learning the right way to play the game and enjoying it together."

In addition, Scullin revealed that four years ago GVLL asked him to serve on the league's board of directors.

"I started off as the Director of the league's lone fundraising event and have now stepped into the Director of Sponsorships for GVLL," Scullin said. "This fall Brody and a few of his all-star teammates were looking for a higher level of play than our in-house recreational league could offer. Dave and his fellow VF Rangers coaches were nice enough to welcome the 3 boys and myself onto their travel team for the fall season. It has been a very smooth blending in process and the team is playing well with all of the coaches approaching the interactions with kids and how to play the game from a very similar mindset."

Rantanen's involvement with both Devon Strafford Little League and now Conestoga Baseball extends 12 years with five of those being on the Devon Strafford Board of Directors as the VP of Baseball Operations and now entering his first year on the Conestoga Baseball Booster Clubs Board.

"I've been directly involved with the league either coaching, volunteering or being on the board for all of those 12 years," Rantanen said. "Over the last 2 seasons I've been involved with and coached my younger son Chase's travel team the Valley Forge Rangers. It's a team primarily made up of Devon Strafford Players with our main focus on keeping kids in the area involved with baseball for the foreseeable future. Inviting Doug, his son and a few other players from their all-star team has truly been a fantastic experience for both myself, my son Chase, and our players. I'm looking forward to many more successful years of coaching with him and our boys."

But the concept of working as a team doesn't stop on the baseball field. According to Furman, it carries over with RE/MAX Classic and the Brett Furnam Group selling real estate.

"The same competitive spirit that's displayed by players on the baseball field is exhibited in our office,'" Furman said. "Just as it is in sports; in order to be the best, you have to study the game and be committed. That's exactly what we do in real estate. We know the ins and outs and we are recognized as one of the best in the area to work with. If you're looking to buy or sell real estate, we invite you to hire our winning team of champions."
