The trek starts from a beautiful quaint village Barshaini where Tosh and Parvati rivers meet. By taking a cab or local bus you can easily reach Barshaini from Kasol. The total trek distance is 12km and easily the distance can be covered in 1 day. Kasol-Kheerganga trek also unveils popular tourist places like Rudranag waterfall and Shiv Temple. The trek will take you through tricky paths, a rich variety of flora and fauna, gushing waterfalls, dense forests of pines and oaks, along with the river Beas, and snow-capped mountains.
There are a lot of nearby villages which are untouched by a crowd of trekkers and travelers. Malana is one of them which is famous for Malana cream(a drug). The quaint tribal village has its own democratic system. The traditional wooden houses and locals living there are amazing. The village is the oldest in Himachal Pradesh and surrounded by the peaks of Chandrakani and Deo Tibba. The trek to Kheerganga ends at Kasol.
