Follow on Google News | OTCWagon Initiated Coverage on Copper North Mining Corp. (V:COL)By: OTCWagon Copper North is transforming the Carmacks Project into a potential low-cost cathode copper producer through the planned use of a two-stage agitated tank leaching process to recover both copper and precious metals. The recent Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA, 9 February 2017) indicates the project potentially will produce 30 million pounds of cathode copper per year at an estimated cash cost of US$1.08/lb after deduction of gold and silver by-product credits. Exploration at Carmacks since 2014 has added additional Measured and Indicated oxide mineral resource, with the potential to extend mine life beyond the currently planned 7 years, subject to economic analysis. Additional exploration targets on the property remain to be evaluated. The sulphide Measured and Indicated mineral resource that underlies the oxide mineralisation also has been expanded, remaining open at depth along the entire strike length. Copper North is now working to advance engineering of the Carmacks metallurgical process to the feasibility stage and then complete environmental assessment and permitting. End
