WATERBURY, Conn. - Nov. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- The non-denominational non-profit Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. will host a fundraiser, "An Intimate Evening With The Kennedys" featuring the acclaimed classic folk, rock, and pop duo Maura and Pete Kennedy, who tour across the U.S.and United Kingdom. The fundraiser will begin at 7:00 PM and accommodate 55 to 60 attendees on Thursday, December 12 at the Acts 4 Ministry's retail boutique at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury.

"This intimate evening," explained Acts 4 Ministry Executive Director Sarah Elizabeth Carabetta, "is one of many ways our organization impacts positive changes in the Greater Waterbury community. We raise funds to meet our mission is to support the daily needs of families and individuals who are in dire financial distress because they have lost virtually everything they possess to a fire, flood, or other devastating life events."

Maura and Pete Kennedy are enjoying a career that spans more than 20 years. The guitarists and vocalists have traversed a broad musical landscape of power pop, acoustic songwriting, and organic rock. Their career began when they joined the Nanci Griffith's Blue Moon Orchestra for a few years before setting out on their own.

The duo's musical influences are rooted in Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, The Byrds, and The Beatles, and the couple has released numerous CDs including their "safe until tomorrow' released in May 2018.

Acts 4 Ministry is a collaborative group of a volunteer board of directors, staff members and volunteers who desire to share God's love by meeting the comforting physical needs of others. "We meet this goal," explained Acts 4 Ministry Board Member Bruce Martin, "by collecting and redistributing resources to people in need. This fundraiser is one of many ways we keep our program exciting to support."
