RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency's (CRA) mission to help guide the redevelopment of the City of Rivera Beach takes place in many forms. Last month, the CRA held a number of events in honor of a fallen team member who succumbed to breast cancer earlier in the year and to help boost awareness of the illness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The events included tributes to the former CRA Administrative Director, Darlene Hatcher, as well as providing educational resources including an esteemed panel of breast cancer professionals, activists and medical professionals.

On October 10th, the CRA held an intimate gathering of Darlene Hatcher's family, friends and colleagues at the Marina Village Event Center. Guests painted rocks with inspirational messages and images that will be placed throughout the CRA District to inspire the community with a little "artful positivity." Riviera Beach residents and visitors who spot these beacons of "good vibes" are encouraged to take a picture and post them on social media.

On October 11th, the CRA dedicated the ballroom in Marina Village in Darlene Hatcher's name, unveiling a plaque to represent her efforts and passion, and hosted a reception. 50 Shades of Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch
On October 12th, 9am to noon, the CRA held an Awareness Brunch that included a panel discussion by several regional breast cancer figures, survivors, activists and medical professionals.
