300 CFOs learn new things from ACCA summit

SHANGHAI - Nov. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- The 15th ACCA CFO Summit "Emerging opportunities in digital age" occurred in Shanghai with over 300 CFOs present. The summit gathered industry leaders, senior business executives, economist and CFOs from leading industries. It aimed to enable CFOs to be aware of the future and accelerate transformation.

Alan Hatfield, Executive Director of Strategy and development of ACCA delivered the opening welcome key note.

Vice President of Ailbaba group, Vice president of JD.com, partner of Deloitte , Associate partner of IBM, Finance vice president of Bosch, CFO of Nielson and VP of Zhongxing also delivered their views in other key notes with the common theme that CFOs needed to change how they worked or face oblivion.

Nick Obolensky, the founder of Complex Adaptive Leadership (CAL), delivered the summary keynote address. He shared the thoughts of the role of future leadership of the finance function in building an Agile organization. The CFOs were interested to hear that 20% of productivity is held back by legacy systems, and that up to 40% of management salaries is wasted. He showed how CAL's new view of leadership as a dynamic, rather than just a role or competence, can release potential with examples from around the world including GE and Alibaba.
