Michelle Lovett is internationally known for her freshman effort featuring the compelling life experiences of 10 women in series, "Life, Love & Lockup: We Got Work to Do."  These courageous women shared stories of overcoming adversities, struggles, addictions, illnesses, and other challenges.  Just like natural diamonds, these human jewels endured the pressure, and now shine brightly.  However, many of these hard-hitting (real-life) narratives often times were met with equally explosive reports from men.  Thus, Lovett is back with her sophomore book (from the male point of view), "Life, Love, & Lock Up Volume 2—My Pain Became My Character."  Lovett offers, "Women are not the only victims.  I learned while on tour with my first book, many men suffer in silence.  They are embarrassed to share their experiences regarding abuse because society portrays them as weak if they cry or report it."  She continues, "Just like abusers do not have a color or age, it doesn't have a sex either.  My goal with this project was to have men tell their experiences, while hopefully helping others."
