STROUD, U.K. - Nov. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- When Cas recorded Maddy's opening phrases of 'Hold On' in the grounds of a 16th Century Gloucestershire coaching inn, the magic began to happen. With a few fragments of Maddy's powerful and emotive vocals, Mikey stitched a slow, compulsive funk groove together and Cas called upon Henry-Cameron to give the track the soulful vocal vibe with his magic dark brown voice. But Henry-Cameron was in Belgium, Cas was in the UK, Mikey was on top of a mountain in the South of Franceā€¦

But, listening to the track, you'd never know.

With Stroud the home of Extinction Rebellion, it was only natural that Cas would be touched by the movement. 'Global warming is in everyone's thoughts and Kuhl wanted to send out a subtle message to the world with this song', says Cas.

'I spoke at length with the sadly missed Polly Higgins about her fight to raise awareness around the issue. Hold On is what we came up with.', Cas remembers.

Hold On - the lyrics

I was greener back in those early days

But you set my soul on fire

Your touch ravaged my existence

With so much more than your desire

I cannot think about a future

Where you and I divide

I'll keep you close, close to my heart

Close by my side

So hold on to me

Don't ever let me go

The passion that burns in the core of me

Melts the ice in your stony heart

And sometimes, I get to thinking

That the only way to live with you is to tear this love apart

I warned you from the outset of this wild and crazy show

That our time will run like rivers

Unless we stop the flow

So hold on to me

Don't ever let me go

So hold on to me

Don't you ever let me go

So hold on to me

Don't ever let me go

I gaze out at the fragile balance our world

The yin and the yang

There can be no day without the darkest night

It's all part of nature's plan

And even now, as I run my fingers through your burning sands

And watch it trickle through my calloused hands

Now those fire rage through the rain kissed leaves in the forests of the light

That last kiss might be the final touch

Unless we change the wrongs to right

So hold on to me...
