Charity for Change installs 2019-2020 Board of Directors and adds two new board members

NAPLES, Fla. - Oct. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Charity for Change is pleased to announce the installation of its 2019-2020 Board of Directors and officers, including two new board members.

Charity for Change's Board of Directors will be led by board chair Richard Schwartz, chair, Vistage Florida; immediate past chair Kathy Feinstein, LMHC, KAF Counseling Consulting, Inc.; vice chair Rebecca Rosenberg, student, Florida SouthWestern State College and Junior Trustee, William Rosenberg Family Foundation; secretary, Becky Sharon, COO Strategic Technology Alliance for Restaurant & Tradel; treasurer Ron Kezeske, managing partner NGEN Financial. State Sen. Kathleen Passidomo is an honorary board member.

Working with President and CEO Karen Conley to help fundraise and grow the reach of Charity for Change's educational programming, the Board of Directors includes new board members Michael Dana, Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.; and Phil Wood, president, John R. Wood Properties. Returning board members include Dr. Gail Dolan, chief clinical operations officer, Neighborhood Health Clinic; Caroline Martino, community volunteer; Dr. Jacqueline Romero, physician; and Sonya Sawyer, CFO, Home-Tech Consolidated, Inc.

Charity for Change's program is an evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum involving coordinated class, schoolwide, family and community participation that develops key SEL skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making. Pre-and post-tests of children in the after-school program at Guadalupe Center in Immokalee for the 2018-2019 year showed an increase in character trait knowledge of 40%.
