COIMBATORE, India - Oct. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- We had written about the versatility of the cultural heritage of Coimbatore (http://www.marketpressrelease.com/The-rich-evergreen-cultural-heritage-of-Coimbatore-1571050875.html) in our previous article. We have also mentioned the undeniable fact that Siruvani contributes to the main source of drinking water for Coimbatore district. Siruvani water has been ranked second sweetest water in the world following the Nile which is in the first place. Coimbatore was supplied with the first drops of Siruvani water in the April month of the year 1929. There has been a lot of hardships and struggles behind the arrival of Siruvani to Coimbatore. A book has been already written about the importance of Siruvani in C R Elangovan's book named Siruvani.

Scientists have analyzed the water and found that the taste is due to the mineral content in Siruvani water. Nature has its own indigenous way of mixing the perfect combination of the minerals in Siruvani water. Siruvani river is basically a tributary of the river Bhavani and it flows through the Attapadi valley where it gets the perfect combination of the minerals added to it. The Siruvani water is not only supplied for drinking but it also is one of the irrigation sources for the paddy fields in and around Coimbatore. This is the reason behind the taste of Coimbatore rice and the food in Coimbatore.

Siruvani (http://english.updatenews360.com/) is in the Western Ghats and it's not only the water which attracts people to Siruvani. The Hills, river, dam, scenic views, the enchanting forest region around, the pleasant climate, pollution less atmosphere, fresh breeze, birds and animals which inhabit the place also add glory to the gorgeous Siruvani. Siruvani is approximately 35 km from Coimbatore. The location has a falls, a dam and forest surroundings. It would be a great idea to pack a pair of dress when planning to visit Siruvani as its hard for anyone to resist taking a dip in the falls. The forest department also has arranged regular vehicles to take tourists to the trekking point.

The entry time allowed by the Forest department is morning 10 am to evening 5 pm. Regular bus services are available from both Coimbatore and Palakkad. Its an absolute heaven for nature lovers who are eager to indulge in nature's abundance. Forest Department has always facilitated the presence of Forest guards and in ample numbers, so there is no worry about the safety of the tourists in the entire area. Trekkers should take a little care as there are wild animals in the forest areas. Somethings you can avoid are heavy baggage, polluting the place.
