Vet's Best Friend names Charles Dunn, V.M.D. as Chief Medical Officer

WALTHAM, Mass. - Oct. 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Vet's Best Friend, a veterinary services organization driven by innovation and technology and focused on taking care of the people that take care of our pets, today announced the appointment of Charles Dunn, V.M.D., as Chief Medical Officer (CMO).  Dr. Dunn will assume responsibility for leading Vet's Best Friend's veterinarians, quality of care, regulatory and medical affairs activities, effective immediately. He will work in tandem with and report directly to Jeff Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, and join the company's executive leadership team.

Chuck Dunn first developed the desire to become a small animal practitioner in high school after meeting a veterinarian who practiced on his newspaper route. Chuck fulfilled his dream and more than 20 years later has worked with thousands of veterinarians in private practice, corporate practice, as well as in medical leadership and management. After earning a VMD degree in 1996 from the University of Pennsylvania, he practiced exotic and small animal medicine in the Philadelphia area. His practice philosophy is to offer every client the same high level of care he would expect for his own pets. Chuck is married with three adult daughters, as well as his dog, Ziggy, and his cat, Rory.

When asked about joining Vet's Best Friend, Dunn stated, "I'm genuinely excited about what we are doing at VBF to support our teams. Our model provides a supportive workplace for all team members, translating to better hospital environments and the best experience for our patients.
