Polish-American family opens Ziggy's Kielbasa House deli in Leander, Texas

LEANDER, Texas - Oct. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- Ziggy's Kielbasa House is pleased to announce its Grand Opening on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. The deli is located at 2403 S US 183. To celebrate, Ziggy's will be giving away free pierogi dumplings all day while supplies last.

This locally-owned deli is the only restaurant in Central Texas to serve authentic Polish kielbasa made in-house.

With a focus on local ingredients, Ziggy's offers grilled kielbasa sandwiches with farm-to-table salads and sides such as potato pancakes and homemade sauerkraut. Ziggy's deli case is filled with dry smoked kielbasa brats, roasted pork, kabaonsy, snack sticks and pasztet. All of the delicacies use 100 percent Tender Belly Pork, and all are stuffed, made in-house and ready-to-eat.

Andy and Susie Szymczyk, founders of Ziggy's, moved their three children to Texas from the northeast to be closer to their brother Uncle Ziggy, the deli's namesake.

"We love Texas, but we missed our deli food from Poland and wanted to bring those flavors here," Susie said. Andy, who was born in Poland added, "We were cooking my grandmother's recipes at home, and friends kept asking for our food, so we turned our dream into something to share with others."

What you see when you enter Ziggy's is a colorful cafe, a large deli case and delightful staff. Guests are greeted with the opportunity to sample a variety of food, so that you will have a Polish-American experience. Children are encouraged to visit the viewing window to watch the magic in the kitchen. And everyone leaves with a desire to return!

"Our customers during the soft opening have been so kind, rooting us on and telling us how much they want us to be successful," Andy said. "It really means a lot to me." He is hopeful that his Babcia (Polish grandmother) would be proud of Ziggy's and what the family has built together.
