Diamond Packaging Wins Five Awards in 2019 Gold Ink Awards Competition

Competition recognizes the highest level of print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effects.
 
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Oct. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- Diamond Packaging today announced that it won five awards in Printing Impressions magazine's 32nd annual Gold Ink Awards competition, the industry's most prestigious print competition. Entries were judged on print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.

Diamond won a Bronze Award in the "Folding Cartons" category for Splintek's SleepRight Ultra-Comfort Dental Guard packaging.

The folding cartons were converted utilizing WestRock Tango® SBS paperboard, cold foiled, and offset printed with four color process and opaque white inks, in-line with aqueous gloss and UV gloss spot coating.

Overprinting transparent inks over a custom rainbow holographic cold foil adds depth and dimension. Embossed accents contribute to the upscale appearance.

Diamond won a Pewter Award in the "Folding Cartons" category for Inter Parfums' Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid packaging.

The folding cartons were converted utilizing FSC-certified Iggesund Invercote G paperboard and offset printed with seven PMS and custom color inks, in-line with soft touch and UV gloss spot coating.

Overprinting transparent champagne rose gold ink over cold foil creates shimmering metallic effects. Multi-level embossing add dimension and contribute to a unique visual and tactile presentation.

Diamond won a Pewter Award in the "Folding Cartons" category for Parlux Fragrances' Tommy Bahama Island Life packaging.

The folding cartons were converted utilizing Clearwater Candesce® SBS paperboard and offset printed (on the back side of the board) with four color process and brown inks, in-line with UV matte coating.

The subtle overall embossed pattern adds dimension and contributes to a unique visual and tactile presentation.

Diamond won a Pewter Award in the "Folding Cartons" category for Procter & Gamble's Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional White packaging.

The folding cartons were converted utilizing Clearwater Candesce® SBS paperboard, cold foiled, and offset printed with seven color inks, in-line with UV matte and UV gloss spot coating.

Overprinting transparent inks over a custom "Pillars of Light" holographic cold foil creates shimmering, colorful metallic effects. Embossed accents add dimension and provide an upscale appearance.

Diamond won a Bronze Award in the "Calendars" category for its 2019 corporate calendar.

The "Making Waves" calendar features Extended Color Gamut (ECG) seven-color process printing, cold foiling, UV gloss spot coating, glitter and textured specialty coatings, multi-level embossing, debossing, intricate die cutting, and NFC tagging.

All of Diamond's winning entries were designed utilizing recyclable paperboards and manufactured using 100% clean, renewable wind energy, in a Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) facility.
