– In efforts to maintain success in holding long distance running events, Run Jordan achieved new milestones in the latest Samsung Amman Marathon.
Samsung Amman Marathon achieved new breaking record by the marathoner Ali Al Sawalmeh the champion of Wheelchair finishing the 21km race in only (01:07:06) despite the route's difficulty, while the marathon witnessed the participation of 15 athletes from Kenya and Ethiopia who came especially to take part in the race due to Samsung Amman Marathon's importance among other international marathons. Additionally, the 42km race women's category achieved new breaking record as the first place winner finished the race in (2:44:25).
Samsung Amman Marathon 2019 utilized technology giving the participants an elevated experience, where they were able to know their results instantly on Run Jordan's website through the Live Streaming technology as the results appear for each runner as they reach each checking point until finishing the race, in addition to using an LED screen allowing the runners to know which lap they are running.
Run Jordan General Manager Lina El Kurd expressed her pride in Samsung Amman Marathon 2019 by saying: "I would like to thank all our sponsors, supporters and volunteers from the different sectors for their impactful contribution in Samsung Amman Marathon that celebrated His Majesty King Abdullah II 20th
anniversary of his accession to the throne, and I'm extremely proud in the results that we achieved in the event that gathered running enthusiasts, as our capital deserves to host such world class running events".
It's noteworthy to mention that Raed Karajeh came first in the (40-49) age category
