Passport To Fashion Announces Date for Runway Show That Celebrates Diversity

Runway Show During Fashion Week Columbus Showcases Local Designers Who Design for a Variety of Races, Ethnicities, Body Types, Gender Identities and Lifestyles

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Oct. 10, 2019 - PRLog -- Passport To Fashion announced the date for their second annual show during Fashion Week Columbus. Passport to Fashion will occur Tuesday, October 15 from 6-10pm at Strongwater Food and Spirits, located at 401 W Town Street in Columbus. Attendees will see a variety of designers who embrace a variety of ethnicities, cultures, genders, and sizes. Passport to Fashion debuted last year by showcasing over 50 looks from six different designers of distinct countries of origin. Proceeds from Passport To Fashion will go to Dress for Success Columbus.

"Diversity in fashion is not just a trend, it is a movement gaining traction around the world on runways and among retail brands. I'm passionate about creating a platform where we can all celebrate our diverse backgrounds," said Aditi Bhatiya, Founder of Passport to Fashion. "We're building the future of fashion in Columbus and it includes all ethnicities, cultures, genders, and sizes."

Passport to Fashion showcases diversity in fashion in all its forms. The event is a platform for designers and consumers of all races, ethnicities, body types, gender identities, and lifestyles. It's a celebration of all walks of life, an expression of love for culture, togetherness, and the self, in every form it takes.

"My inspiration comes from the mosaic of colors, styles, and beauty standards from cultures around the world, because they all send the same message: fashion is for everyone," said Bhatiya who is from Mumbai, India.  "I believe that this stand of solidarity through art is now more necessary than ever."

Columbus is ranked third in terms of the number of resident fashion designers, only trailing New York and Los Angeles. Designers showing their collections at Passport To Fashion include:
