By: Bamma Phi Bamma The Bamma Phi Bamma phase was coined after a friend of the comedy show founder made the remark about one of his colleagues wearing a black suits with white socks, and said he looked like he pledged "Bamma Phi Bamma". A simple humor website was created back in 2006, and comedy shows started in December 29th 2009 at Twins Jazz in DC. Founder Brandon started doing comedy shows because laughter was critical to getting them through a bout of homelessness in 2001 (Washington Post Article).
