CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Oct. 8, 2019 - PRLog -- The 5-piece Ken Field Nonstandards is an ensemble comprised of Boston-based all-star musicians, who are bringing to light lesser-known and rarely performed compositions and arrangements, created by the ensemble's leader, saxophonist/flautist Ken Field.

Field will be joined by keyboardist Amy Bellamy, drummer Yoron Israel, bassist/sintirist Mike Rivard, and violinist Helen Sherrah-Davies, as they collaborate in realizing new and exciting interpretations of pieces pulled from Field's catalog of work.

This is a rare opportunity to hear the Nonstandards ensemble. The group was formed this past June, to participate in a one-time only engagement at Somerville's annual Joe's Jazz and Blues Festival. However, the response was so positive that Field decided to regroup for this special second appearance at the Regattabar.
