MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Oct. 7, 2019 - PRLog -- Celebrate nearly two decades of health and wellness at Mississauga's most longest running group fitness facility, Athletic Leaders (3240 Semenyk Ct. Mississauga) on Saturday, October 19th from 11:00am to 2:00pm as they'll be hosting their 17 Year Anniversary/Client Appreciation Party. This celebration is free for all attendees but donations will be accepted at the door in support of their various charitable partners. Athletic Leaders also encourages all who plan to attend, to give back to the community by accepting Mayor Crombie's City-Wide Food Drive Challenge by raising food and funds for The Mississauga Food Bank.

Athletic Leaders has a long history of giving back to community groups and charitable organizations through breakthrough challenges by promoting the importance of health, strength/fitness training. Their signature event Kettlebell Swings For Breast Cancer's 1st challenge in 2013, 2nd challenge in 2016, and 3rd challenge in 2018 has amassed a jaw-dropping 85,000+ swings completed which has helped to raise over $8200.00 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society collectively. This year Athletic Leaders is excited to accept Mayor Crombie's Food Drive Challenge.

"On top of celebrating 17 years of life-changing fitness transformations we encourage the community to join us as we support the Mayor. Our goal is to raise over $3000 and collect 3000 pounds of food at our training facility for The Mississauga Food Bank."- says Granville Mayers, Owner of Athletic Leaders.

Coach Granville Mayers the world-renowned humanitarian, 18 time CPF National Record Holder, drug free athlete and certified StrongFirst Leader at 45 years old breaks fitness barriers as being one of the strongest powerlifters over the age of 40 in Canada. He currently holds five world-records with the Amateur World Powerlifting Congress (AWPC) in these categories:

·         2019 AWPC Masters Squat World Record 540 pounds
·         2019 AWPC Masters World Record Bench Press 453 pounds
·         2019 AWPC Masters World Record Deadlift 671 pounds
·         2019 AWPC Total World Record 1664
·         2019 Open Bench Press AWPC World Record 453 pounds
